    Thanks – it worked a treat! Control panel eventually pushed me into a “settings” like screen for the final protocol associations, so one screen looked a little different, but the repair still fixed it for me.

    • More and more items are being moved to the Settings application with each release. I probably should have made a note of what build I was running on my laptop when this post was written. I’ll have to make a note of that for future Windows feature posts. Thanks for stopping by!

    works fine now, great! I had to install the Office Apps, even though I already had the Office client installed. Any idea why it requires the app and why it can’t find the office client software?

    • You had to install the Office apps from the Microsoft Store? That is very odd as I don’t have those installed on my computer, I only have the OneNote app from the store, everything else is from the Office 365 installation.
